Lands of history and mystery,
Lands of the sectarian state,
Lands of ignorance and bigotry,
Lands of hypocrisy and hate,
Centre of sects and religions,
Centre of philosophical birth,
Centre of religious significance
To so many creeds of this Earth,
Will your warring tribes ever
Enjoy liberty and peace?
Will your various conflicts
Eventually slow and cease?
Land of the twelve tribes
Ever ready to punish and kill
Perhaps in time you'll learn to
Live with tolerance and goodwill.
Or will you just continue with
Blind and selfish determination
Towards the probable end of
Well deserved self extermination?
If your Gods existed would they
Not writhe in embarrassing shame
At the various atrocities performed
Supposedly in their cause and name?
